We are raising money in memory of Derek Brewster, who died on 7th February 2021 aged 81. We are asking for donations in lieu of funeral flowers, to be divided between two charities. Derek - Del and Dad to us - worked as a postman with the Royal Mail for 47 years. The Rowland Hill Fund supports current and former postal workers facing financial hardship, and it's a charity that Derek himself supported for many years. Having been diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2018, Derek received treatment at Barts Hospital and recovered well. However, sadly, the cancer returned in late 2020. We'd like to donate money to Cancer Research UK so that research into the causes, prevention and treatment of the disease can continue. Thank you for any donations you feel able to make.
